New Ko Shin Moon Album🌛
Ko Shin Moon is a Paris-based band blending traditional Eastern strings with futuristic electronic machines. Formed in 2017 by Axel Moon after four years spent in India collecting folk instruments, the project now includes Myriam El Moumni on synths and machines. Together they craft cosmic, borderless music that fuses psychedelia, space disco, and cold wave into hypnotic, danceable soundscapes.
Their energetic live shows have captivated audiences across Europe, North Africa, the Levant, and Canada. Influenced by pioneers like Haruomi Hosono, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Bill Laswell, and Patrick Cowley, Ko Shin Moon expands that experimental lineage into something new and strangely familiar.
Their fifth album, Sîn, was born on the road while touring their 2022 release Miniature. Melodies emerged from live improvisations and evolved through encounters with audiences and fellow musicians, eventually coalescing into a body of work rich with movement and emotion.
Named after the Mesopotamian moon deity, Sîn explores the tension between freedom and restraint, light and shadow, the sacred and the forbidden. Across ten tracks—sung in Arabic, French, Italian, Turkish, and Tamil—Ko Shin Moon traces a journey from dawn to dusk, from open fields to electric cities. Layering acoustic, electric, and digital textures, Sîn is an introspective voyage through the infinite and the fleeting—a vivid, borderless record that feels at once ancient and futuristic.

Mong Tong History of Brightness Cassette Reissue 🍃
Mong Tong are Taipei-based brothers Hom Yu and Jiun Chi, who conjure a heady blend of psychedelic rock, ritualistic ambient electronics, and pan-Asian folk influences. Their music draws from 60s/70s psychedelia, Southeast Asian soundtracks, and the pulsing repetition of modern electronic music.
With releases in Asia and Europe on Guruguru Brain, the label founded by Kikagaku Moyo, Mong Tong have released a string of acclaimed records that transport listeners into hallucinatory sonic worlds, where hypnotic basslines, fuzzed-out guitar, and trippy synths fold into samples of local mythology, martial arts tapes, and vintage library music. At their live shows the brothers perform blindfolded, pushing audiences deeper into their trance-like sound.
With several tours across the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia, including a sold-out performance at Public Records in New York, the duo have steadily built a reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in the global psychedelic underground.
A History of Brightness stands out as a pivotal release, an expressive ambient psych EP that deepens their exploration of myth, ritual, and groove. Long celebrated by fans worldwide, it is now being reissued on cassette for the first time as a PFR Records exclusive.
Whether in headphones or on stage, Mong Tong’s sound invites listeners into a surreal ritual of groove, atmosphere, and collective imagination.

Ambient Night at Public Records
We’ll be hosting our first ever ambient night at Public Records with LPR Presents. Ambient night sparks the start of Dream Crease joining the PFR roster. She’s joined on stage by the legendary Yuka Honda (eucademix) and Cassandra Croft. I’ll be spinning vinyl to kick things off and carry us through the night.
